You will be picked up at your accommodations in the early morning by your driver guide for the day.
The first stop will be one of Iceland's most historic places, Þingvellir national park, where you will walk around the area and learn about it's history and importance for the Icelandic nation. Þingvellir national park is not only an historic place, but also a geological wander where you will walk between the tectonic plates where Iceland is tearing apart.
Next stop will be at Geysir geothermal area in Haukadalur. There you will witness Strokkur the spouting hot spring shoot boiling hot water 40 meters in the air every 7 to 10 minutes.
The third stop will be at one of Iceland's most beautiful waterfalls, Gullfoss, or the Golden waterfall. Gullfoss falls approx. 32 meters in two settings into a rugged canyon that has been carved out by the waterfall through time.
The last stop before returning back to your accommodation in ReykjavÃk city is at Kerið crater. Kerið is a beautifully formed crater and a part of the Western volcanic zone. The crater is believed to be around 6.500 years old.
